Contingency analysis for gas transport networks with hydrogen injection

Abstract Novel methods for contingency analysis of gas transport networks are presented. They motivated by the transition our energy system where hydrogen plays a growing role. The novel based on specific method topological reduction and so-called supernodes. Stationary Euler equations with advanced compressor thermodynamics law allowing compositions up to 100 $$\%$$ % used. Several measures plots support an intuitive comparison results. In particular, it is shown that newly developed can estimate locations magnitudes additional capacities (injection, buffering, storage etc.) reasonable performance relevant composition size.
